Our aim is to bring fresh figs to the dining table of New Zealanders
Fig'n Delicious
The orchard is located in Mangawhai on the temperate east coast of the North Island. We are 1 hour and 30 minutes north of Auckland. We have 300 fruiting trees and grow two varieties of figs. We use several organic horticulture methods to produce healthy, succulent fruit.During the season, February - April, we sell fresh figs directly from the orchard chiller.
We also take orders via phone or email for pick up or for local delivery. If you are a local resident or visitor to Mangawhai call by and have a taste and take home a bag of fresh figs.
2024 Update
It has been a tough three years for the fig orchard. For 2021-22 we tried to operate under covid restrictions. In 2023 we had a cyclone and flooding. Most of the year our trees were swamped in water from the heavy and persistent rains we experienced in the north.
The French Sugar variety has survived and is starting to develop fruit so we are preparing to start the harvest season about mid February.
